Idea of Living Together

A tree is a living organism that is fixed in its place, usually providing a specific area with some shade. They also die or are cut down for various reasons. My ‘Tree’ is made of different branches from different trees: Neem, Thorny Tree, Cactus, etc., whatever I found locally. It talks about the contrast in rural and urban spaces, and my experience of the differences. Both spaces happen to be divided in order to cater to caste, culture or community. In villages, the separation is stark – whereas it seems better on the surface in urban spaces. They are way apart but some parameters connect these two spaces. I migrated from village to city and have seen and experienced both. I am still trying to exploit the ideas and see new ways of connecting and disjointing them. The idea of living together is a work, which also exemplifies symbol for ‘Unity in diversity’.
